Minister: Russian tax policies must support nascent econ growth

MOSCOW, Dec 22 (PRIME) -- Tax policies in Russia must support nascent economic growth, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said during a meeting of the United Russia party on Friday.

“Tax policies must be aimed at supporting the economic growth which has started. Tax incentives, investment incentives will be introduced from next year and are already being introduced,” Siluanov said.

He said that the Finance Ministry wants to balance the taxation system without raising the burden on business. “We are indeed considering an issue of the tax system infrastructure improvement, this is a balance between direct and indirect taxes.”

“Let’s think about this as well. Without raising the tax burden until the end of 2018 as well as the president ordered and without raising the tax burden on business further on, we are sticking to this logic during preparation of proposals on the taxation system changes,” Siluanov said.
